Groundwork East London’s extensive partnership working with a variety of organisations in Barking and Dagenham over the last five years has resulted in the successful development of various projects. These include landscape designs and master planning of a number of the borough's major parks following community consultation, the engagement of local communities as stakeholders in the sustainable use of the boroughs waterways such as the River Roding, as well as addressing issues relating to health and well being.
We also Chair the Epping Forest and River Roding Area 2 sub group which forms part of the East London Green Grid (ELGG) programme led by the GLA. Key future projects will be supporting major strategic open space improvements such as Abbey Green and Mayesbrook-Goodmayes Park.
