Groundwork East London has been working in the Newham borough for over five years. Recent programmes have involved engagement projects with residents of all ages, the delivery of community gardening events on housing estates and the development of a programme to improve the health and well being of local residents in one of the most disadvantaged areas in Newham.
We also Chair the Epping Forest and River Roding Area 2 sub group which forms part of the East London Green Grid (ELGG) programme led by the GLA. Key future projects will be supporting major strategic open space projects such as the Greenway as well as various access improvements to the Lower Roding.
Our Employment Team also have an office in Stratford that provides essential job brokerage services to local residents.
